Woman dies in Bluegrass Parkway accident

Posted: Wed 12:55 PM, Oct 10, 2012

VERSAILLES, Ky. (WKYT) - Police got the call around six this morning.
And when they arrived on scene they found a Chevy truck on the opposite side of the highway it was originally traveling on.

Investigators believe the woman driver, who was the only victim in this crash, crossed over the center line of traffic, hit a guard rail and then a rock wall. This is where the badly damaged truck came to a rest, the driver was pronounced dead on the scene.

Right now police are looking into all possibilities for what may have caused the woman to lose control of the vehicle.

"It's what the coroners office will be investigating. There could be several reasons anywhere from falling asleep to a medical condition to an animal in the roadway. It could have been anything," said Lt. Daniel Clark with the Versailles Police Department.
