Northern Kentucky soldier killed in Afghanistan

FORT MITCHELL, Ky. (WKYT) - A Northern Kentucky soldier has been killed in Afghanistan.

Daniel Patrick Lee told The Kentucky Enquirer that Army officials told him and his wife that their son, 28-year-old Daniel Tyler Lee, died on Tuesday after being shot in the chest.

The father said he didn't know all the details surrounding the death of his son, who was a Green Beret.

Sergeant Lee was on his second tour of duty.

The Kenton County Native Graduated from Dixie Heights High School in 2003.

Aside from his parents, Lee is survived by his wife and 6-month-old son, who live in Arizona, and a sister.
