LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Students in Fayette County can plan to not end their school year before May 30.
Because of the recent round of snow and cold that prompted the system to cancel classes, Fayette County Public Schools has announced the school year will be extended until Friday, May 30.
In addition to May 29 and 30, the recent three days missed because of winter weather will include a make-up day on Friday, April 25.
High school graduation dates are not set until early spring after the threat of bad weather has passed and all make-up days have been announced.
