Federal investigators search office of Morgan Co. judge-executive

MORGAN COUNTY, Ky, (WKYT) - Federal investigators spent Tuesday afternoon searching the office of an eastern Kentucky Judge-Executive.

A Morgan County official confirmed to the WKYT newsroom federal investigators did search the office of Judge Tim Conley, and confiscated records and a computer from his office. The official told us Judge Conley did not know why his office was searched.

We're told the FBI and Kentucky State Police were the agencies involved with the investigation. When we called KSP, they referred all question to the FBI. The FBI would not confirm if they had agents in Morgan County. They also would not comment on what may be at the center of the investigation.

The judge-executive's office was closed Tuesday afternoon, our calls to Judge Conley were not returned.
