Festivities will impact traffic in downton Lexington on Saturday

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - St. Patrick's Day festivities and the Lexington Comic and Toy Convention in downtown Lexington will have a major impact on traffic Saturday.

Here are some of the street closings you will experience if you're heading that way to join in on the celebrations:

--From 6:30am until 9:30am - E. Vine St., Midland Ave., Third St., E. Main St., W. Main St. and S. Upper St. are closed for the Shamrock Shuffle.
--From 11:00am to 1:00pm - Midland Ave. will be closed from Main to Third St. & Main St. will be closed from Midland Ave. to Mill St.
--From 11:00am to 8:00pm - Short St. will be closed between Mill St. and Upper St. for the festival at Cheapside Park.

Events this weekend:

--- 8th Annual Shamrock Shuffle 3K - The 8th Annual Shamrock Shuffle 3K is a fun, family road race benefiting Lexington Habitat for Humanity. Time: 8am. http://www.shamrockshuffle3k.com

--- Lexington St. Patrick's Festival - This year will mark the 35th Anniversary of Lexington’s St. Patrick's Day Parade which will be accompanied by an Irish Festival that will extend the celebration throughout the day. The Festival will begin at 10am and run to 7pm.

--- Lexington St. Patrick's Parade - The parade will begin at 1pm on Main Street from Midland to Mill Street. http://www.lexingtonstpatsparade.org

---Winter Jam at Rupp Arena: Show time: 6:00 PM. Door time: 5:00 PM.
