Fiery car crash causes house fire

A car crash caused a house to catch on fire early Sunday afternoon.

The Taylor County Sheriff's Office says a 17-year-old driver lost control on Highway 70, ran through a field and crashed into a house on Liberty Road.

The teen's pickup caught fire and the flames spread to the house.

Firefighters were able to put out both fires.

The teen went to a local hospital for his injuries.
