Fire at Berea factory causes minimal damage

BEREA, Ky. (WKYT) - Some tense moments at a central Kentucky factory Monday afternoon because of a fire.

It happened inside the Hitachi plant in Berea, just off I-75. Firefighters tell WKYT an exhaust pipe caused a spark, and that ignited a small fire.

They say it was quickly put out and no one was injured. Not much damage was caused.

We're told work resumed at the plant a short time later.
