Rounds of showers and storms continue to develop. Some of these could be strong and put down very heavy rainfall. Watch for local high water issues.
MCKINNEY, Ky. (WKYT) - Eddie "Popcorn" Brown says he's used to giving up his time to serve others as a constable.
"It's a volunteer constable, I do what they ask me to do, try to," Brown said Monday, outside his Ky. 698 home.
Since fire destroyed much of what he and his wife own inside their home, he's seen the tables turned.
"They've been really good to me. Offered to help, everything and anything. Offers to come back," he said.
Brown was at church Sunday morning when someone ran in and told him his house was fire. He ran home and firefighters arrived to keep flames from destroying the house, but almost everything inside is ruined.
"When I look at it, I think it's pretty much destroyed," Brown said.
Brown says he has seen firsthand how his worst of times has brought out the best in others.
"The people in this community has been so good. Been so good to me. Last day and a half since it happened," he said.
There's no exact word on a cause but it could be electrical in nature, possibly from a window A/C unit.
"I'll have to re-do things and see what the insurance company says. Go from there, stay with my mother-in -aw until I can see what to do with this now," he said.
