Fire forces family from home

DANVILLE, Ky. (WKYT) -- A family has been forced from their home because of a house fire.

We're told the fire broke out around 10 p.m. Wednesday at a house on Waveland Avenue in Danville.

At one point, firefighters say flames were shooting through the roof. As of 11 p.m. Wednesday, they were still on the scene.

Firefighters say no one has been hurt. The Red Cross is helping the family that lives there.

There's no word on what caused the fire.
