By the time Scott County firefighters arrived at a burning home on Locust Fork in Stamping Ground Wednesday morning, there wasn't much left.
When fire crews arrived, fire was shooting out the windows and the roof had already collapsed. The only thing standing was the four brick walls. The fire wasn't the only obstacle they had to face. They had to work around a downed power line.
They don't know if the downed power line caused the fire or if it was caused by the fire.
Once the flames were under control crews knocked down the walls.
No one lived in the home at the time but a woman was planning on moving into it on Friday.
The captain says it's too early to say if this fire is suspicious, but Scott County fire investigators will begin the task of determining the cause.
