A firefighter had to go to the hospital after fighting a large house fire in southern Kentucky.

Emergency workers say the firefighter, from the Bush Fire Department in Laurel County, suffered exhaustion.

The fire broke out late Monday night in a log cabin on Tom Cat Trail. Crews were on scene battling the fire for several hours.

The firefighter's name hasn't been released. Emergency workers tell WKYT he's expected to be okay.
