The bad part of the weekend was Saturday. The nasty old showers and very cold temps. We'll probably see a decent amount of sunshine on Sunday. The only catch will be the early morning hours. That's when we could see some patchy frost in our area. One of a few chances in the 7-Day... by the way.
The workweek will begin with sunshine and some decent temperatures. I think we'll see highs in the low and even a few mid 60s in parts of our region.
Another cold front drops by on Tuesday. This one will fire off some showers and keep temperatures down to some pretty cool levels. So another day like Saturday with some very chilly showers.
The third cold front arrives right on the heels of the second in our three front series. This one has all of us paying very close attention to the details. It has some wintry potential! Yes, I said wintry potential. That means we could see some rain, sleet, or snow. One would think that it is way too early to see this, but during the past two years we have seen October flakes. Far Northeastern Kentucky in 2011, the highest elevations of Southeastern Kentucky in 2012 (Thanks to Super Storm Sandy) and maybe again this year. If this doesn't do it, there is another chance before the end of the month.
More details coming as this system continues to develop!
