Snow line is beginning to crash into parts of central Kentucky. The rate of snow will pick-up this evening and into the overnight. Some of these snow bands could produce 1"-2" per hour at times.
The first full weekend of Spring is here! The season change doesn't mean that winter is gone just yet. Some of us will see and feel that completely this weekend.
Sun and clouds will be the only issue for your Saturday. Our daytime highs will climb into the upper 50s. Some folks will cross the border into the low 60s. A frontal boundary passed through the area and keeps us a little cooler.
Saturday night brings some much colder air. It's another night hovering around the freezing mark and for some... moisture will spread into the area. When you put those temperatures around freezing together with some moisture you run into some wintry weather. That especially comes into play for extreme southern Kentucky.
The bulls-eye for chances of wintry precip during the early morning hours on Sunday will be along the Cumberland and Hal Rogers Parkway. Temps will stay on the chilly side for a few days through next week.
