Five dogs rescued from Floyd Co. house fire

FLOYD COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Some dogs in Floyd County are recovering after being rescued from a house fire. The fire broke out at a home in the Reed Branch community over the weekend.
Five dogs were rescued from the home. The Dumas Rescue Group is now treating those dogs for first and second degree burns.
"It was difficult to see them. They were scared and terrified so naturally they reacted with terror and trauma. It was something that a lot of people probably don't want to see," said Tonya Conn and Megan Goble with the Dumas Rescue Group.
Members of the rescue group say they're taking donations to help pay for vet costs. No people were injured in the fire.
