Flags lowered to half-staff to honor late lawmaker

A former Kentucky lawmaker who died this week will receive a statewide honor this weekend.

Flags at all state office buildings will be lowered to half-staff Sunday in honor of DeWayne Bunch.

His funeral is Sunday afternoon at 4 p.m. at Croley Funeral Home in Williamsburg.

Bunch was badly injured last year while trying to break up a fight between students at Whitley County High School, where he was a teacher.
