The flash flood threat increases late tonight and into Thursday. Rounds of storms may dump a lot of rain across our region.
The flash flood threat will be on the increase over the next few days. Rounds of heavy rain producing showers and thunderstorms will kick in late tonight and carry us through Thursday and Friday.
Gulf of Mexico moisture will funnel northward into the region and set the stage for torrential rainfall. Rain totals over the next few days may be between 1" and 3" with locally higher amounts.
That would be enough to cause flash flooding across parts of the area. If you live in a flood prone or low lying area, please stay alert to the forecast for the next few days.
Additional rounds of rain and storms will carry us into the coming weekend.
