LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Rodney Dunn, 53, didn't have anything to say as he was lead off in handcuffs by police for drug charges Thursday afternoon. But he wasn't the reason why Lexington Police and U.S. Marshals were at this home on Squires Road in the first place.
"I'm not exactly sure why the marshals are there," said Kenneth Crawford, a neighbor.
Marshals tell us they went to the home to arrest Jerrick Bartee, 30, on a warrant out of Florida where he was wanted on a probation violation. But sources tell us deputies with the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office also want to talk to Bartee about a deadly shooting that happened in February at a Chili's restaurant.
People who live here in the Squires Road neighborhood say its usually quiet, but they also say not so much for this home.
"I have noticed a little bit of traffic coming and going. What activity is going on over there I'm not aware of," said Crawford.
"It's not a bad area it's just that there's things going on in the area. We've got so many apartment units down here and then you've got other people in the area. Like I said, we just try to keep an eye on things," said another neighbor, Len Golsen.
While the investigation came as a bit of a surprise, neighbors say they're happy police are working to keep the area safe.
Both Bartee and Dunn are in the Fayette County Detention Center. Bartee is expected to have an extradition hearing before being taken back to Florida.
