LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Firefighters were able to quickly put out a fire inside a Lexington apartment.

The call went out around 12:45 Thursday morning at an apartment complex on Lima Drive, off Georgetown Street.

When crews arrived, they say there was a small fire inside the bedroom of one of those apartments, and the occupant was trapped.

Fire officials say the fire started because someone was cooking food in the bedroom.

No one was injured or forced out of their apartment.
