LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT)- For ten years, Tracey Damron shared her life with former lawmaker Steve Nunn. His family was famous for politics here in Kentucky. Now, the son of a former Governor is infamous for murder.
Damron appeared on WKYT News at 12:30 to talk about her tell-all book, "A Trail of Feathers."
"Everything will surprise the readers because it has a taste of everything," she explained. "There are explosive details revealed in this book and I was the closest one to Steve and to Governor Nunn--his father--and I talk about my involvement of bringing them together."
During their marriage, Damron says she saw Steve Nunn change so drastically, he became another person. She says that's what led to their divorce and ultimately to Amanda Ross' murder.
"There are explosive details about the murder," she said. "The Steve Nunn we all knew and I was married to did good for women in Kentucky. He was good to me. Something happened to him and I share the intimate details."
In the book, Damron included letters Nunn sent from prison, where he's serving a life sentence for murder. But, she says she hasn't spoken to him in a year-and-a half, so she can heal.
The book, "A Trail of Feathers," will come out on August 7th.
