Michael Porter bonded out of jail late Tuesday afternoon after his arrest earlier in the day on multiple charges of sexual abuse involving a minor.

Porter last played for UK in 2009. An arrest citation obtained by WKYT shows Porter is charged with six counts of sodomy and two counts of sexual abuse.

Court documents show on two separate occasions, Porter gave and received oral sex from a 14-year-old whom police say he met as a group leader at a church function. A separate document alleges the same type of crime happened involving a 15-year-old. Lexington Police confirm the victims in both cases are the same girl.

Police say the crimes happened in 2009 and 2010.

Porter entered a plea of not guilty in Fayette District Court on Tuesday afternoon. He was being held on a $22,000 bond, but the judge agreed to release him from jail to a third party.

Porter was ordered to wear an ankle monitor and not to leave the state of Kentucky. He was also ordered not to have any contact with the victim.

In a 2009 interview with the Herald-Leader, Porter said he attended Southland Christian Church. A spokesperson for the church told WKYT, they could not comment on the case, due to the nature of the allegations.

Porter is due back in court on June 4th at 8:30 a.m. for a preliminary hearing.
