Four Kentucky hospitals targeted by hackers

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Millions of records have been stolen after hackers broke into a hospital network.

Community Health Systems operates more than 200 hospitals across the U.S., including four in Kentucky. Three of the four are in eastern Kentucky.

Kentucky River Medical Hospital in Jackson, Paul B. Hall Regional Hospital in Paintsville and Three Rivers Medical Center in Louisa were all affected. A hospital in Fulton was also hit.

Hackers stole personal information for more than four million patients.
