WINCHESTER, Ky. (AP) - The fourth time was a charm for Randy Snapp.
Snapp, an avid beagler, was inducted into the SPO (small pack option) Hall of Fame recently, bringing recognition to a career that has spanned more than three decades.
After his son was given a beagle when he was "about 14," Snapp yearned for more than a rabbit-chasing pet. He purchased registered beagles and began a journey that resulted in 11 national championships.
The journey resulted into double figure national championships in the SPO division, mainly the 13-inch and under female class.
Snapp was inducted into the Hall of Fame with longtime friend Don Coplen. The two began beagling around 1980.
