Frankfort Police want two people in connection with credit card theft

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WKYT) - Frankfort Police say stolen credit cards were used to purchase more than $5,000 worth of merchandise. Three credit cards were reported stolen on Feb. 25. They were taken from a woman inside a Frankfort office.

Police tell WKYT the cards were used at Walmart stores in Frankfort, Louisville, and Shelbyville. The thieves mainly used the money on gift cards.

Two people were caught on the Frankfort store's security camera. Those people are not considered suspects, but police are looking for them.

"We think they possess very valuable information about the use of stolen credit cards," said Captain Rob Warfel.

State police are investigating the charges from out-of-town stores.

Frankfort Police are asking for help to identify the people caught on camera. Contact Frankfort Police with any tips.
