FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - For soon-to-be college freshmen, it's never too soon to start preparing.

The Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority has a free guide to surviving the first year of college.

The 36-page booklet contains information on majors and class schedules, how to stay healthy and safe on campus, and financial basics.

The guide is called "Surviving College," and it can be obtained online by visiting www.kheaa.com.
