PARIS, Ky. (WKYT) - Inside, Perico's Mexican Restaurant in Paris, there's lots of traffic coming in and out, but one of the regular servers isn't there today.
"This place will not be the same without him," Oscar Ramirez said. He's talking about Miguel Angel Aparicio Vazquez. Vazquez was killed in a wreck Saturday morning along Bethlehem Road in Bourbon County.
"He was a great guy who just didn't want anything else but to be remembered as somebody who was good," Ramirez said.
Ramirez said it didn't take long at all to get to know Miguel and he had big plans.
"As soon as I started working here that night he started talking to me. It was weird because I never felt this comfortable or confident enough to talk and let out to somebody like him. Ever since I started working here we would hang out every night and just talk about life and about what he really wanted in life - just to be happy and settle down when he was 28 and get a wife and have a kid. Unfortunately that can't happen anymore but I'm sure he's in a better place right now," Ramirez said.
Investigators believe Vazquez over-corrected after driving around a curve and crashed through a fence.
