BEREA, Ky. (WKYT)-Police are still investigating a crash that killed 25-year-old Britta Richmond around 8 Monday morning.

Police say the Morehead State student was on Boonesboro Road trying to pass another car when she hit a third car head-on. All three drivers were taken to the hospital. Richmond died at Clark Regional Medical Center shortly after.

"She had so much going for her," explained close friend Morgan Neil.

Neil describes Richmond as overwhelming positive, determined and loving.

Neil says she was on her way to the hospital when she found out the the aspiring nurse had passed away following the accident. She says Richmond was working towards achieving her biggest goal to-date; becoming a nurse.

"She always wanted to be a nurse. That was her main goal."

The 4-wheeling and wedding enthusiast has been working in the emergency Room at Central Baptist in Lexington.

"She loved taking care of people."

Neil continued by saying Richmond was known for her kindness and big smile.

"She never had anything bad to say about anyone. She loved her Family, her friends, her animals and her job."

Richmond married her husband, Joey in 2009 and the two had just bought a house in his hometown of Berea.

"Her husband was her "bessone." That's what she called him. She loved her husband. She was a devoted wife."

Neil says even by keeping the faith Richmond always had---the loss will be impossible to recover from.

Funeral arrangements for Richmond are pending.

Police believe the other two drivers involved in the crash will recover. They also think speed and distracted driving are to blame.

(doesnt seem like she should be gone)
