Very slow moving showers and thunderstorms will move into our area overnight and Sunday. The potential for flooding will be heightened in southern and eastern Kentucky.
Clouds stayed cloudy today even as rain pushed out of the Commonwealth. The cold front that passed this morning was quite strong and we are feeling a 40 degree temperature drop from yesterday afternoon. A wintry mix will be possible as a batch of light moisture moves across the region. Skies will gradually clear early Saturday morning. A Frost Advisory is in effect for the Bluegrass region as lows are expected to drop to 34.
Saturday will be sunny and cool with a high of 57. Patchy frost will be possible once again Saturday night. Make sure you cover or bring sensitive plants indoors. Sunday will be slightly warmer with highs around 60. More seasonable temperatures are expected next week with a sunny start to the week. Another cold front will be possible Wednesday.
