KNOXVILLE, Tn. (WKYT) -- A young Washington D.C. attorney and runner, killed when a Lexington fire truck hit her a week ago, was laid to rest today.
Police say Lauren Roady, 27, was crossing North Broadway at Main Street last Saturday night, as a fire truck turned through the intersection.
A memorial service was held for Roady in her hometown of Knoxville.
It started with a two-mile run-walk in her honor this morning. It was followed by her funeral and burial this afternoon.
