LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - It's a theft totaling thousands of dollars.
Lexington police are trying to find the thief behind a burglary at a consignment store, and how 20 fur coats went missing from a Lexington consignment shop.
Earlier this week, police say a manager at Après Vous noticed a couple of fur coats missing from an upstairs room. After checking their inventory, the employee realized a total of 20 furs, worth 10-thousand-dollars, were missing.
Police say the store shares an inside door with a neighboring business, which was left unlocked.
The store's owner says she is still trying to contact some of the owners of the furs that were stolen. She says any clients that are concerned should call the store.
Since the store is a consignment shop, the store's owner claims they are not responsible for the stolen furs.
