One viewer sent us a picture from the Speedway off the Bypass in Georgetown.

We haven't seen prices this high in the Lexington area since June of 2011.

Patrick DeHaan, GasBuddy.com Senior Petroleum Analyst, warns that a refinery fire in Washington state is boosting prices significantly throughout the entire West Coast region. Rising spot prices in Great Lakes areas is boosting prices 30-45 cents per gallon today in Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky.

In cities like Los Angeles, the prices at some stations are just shy of reaching the five dollar mark. Experts say this is way above the national average. They believe, gas prices will continue to increase through the spring and into the summer driving season.
