Posted: Fri 8:11 AM, Oct 12, 2012

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - It's a chance to keep you and your family protected from the flu, for free.

On Friday, the Fayette County Health Department is once again holding its Free Flu Friday.

They expect to give up 2,000 free shots to Lexington residents.

This year's vaccine will protect against the seasonal flu and the H1N1 virus.

Friday's event is from 9-5 at the Imani Family Life Center on Georgetown Road.

Health officials recommend everyone six-months old and older get the flu shot.
