Getting ready for a weekend warm-up

Updated: Thu 5:17 PM, Mar 07, 2013

Temperatures today slowly warmed just above freezing and is allowing for snow to melt. It will be chilly tonight with lows dipping to the mid 20s. Any water on the roads will refreeze and cause some slick spots as skies gradually clear. By tomorrow morning we'll wake up to some sunshine and a great start to the weekend.

Highs on Friday will reach the mid 40s with breezy winds. High pressure will give us sunny skies for a couple of days with temperatures warming to the lower 60s. Clouds will begin to roll in on Sunday as the next cold front approaches. This front, originating in the Pacific, will bring a round of rain and storms to start the week. By Tuesday skies will become sunny with a slight cool down and temperatures just below normal. We should see seasonal temperatures through the end of next week.
