FORT WRIGHT, Ky. (AP) - A northern Kentucky girl spent a harrowing night after someone took her mother's sport utility vehicle with her in it from outside a convenience store.

The Kentucky Enquirer reported that the girl and the SUV were reporting missing for about a half hour from a Speedway in Fort Wright.

Kenton County emergency communication reports show both the girl and vehicle were found in the parking lot of a Kroger in Fort Mitchell at around 2 a.m. EDT Thursday. The girl was uninjured.

The men remained at large until they were arrested in Fort Wright by 5 a.m.

It remains unclear if they knew the child was in the vehicle when they stole it.

Fort Wright police did not immediately comment or offer details about the incident.
