REYKJAVIK, Iceland (AP) - A 15-year-old is suing the Icelandic state for the right to legally use the name given to her by her mother.
She was named Blaer, which means "light breeze" in Icelandic. But it's not on a list of names approved by the government.
Icelandic law requires names to comply with Icelandic grammar and orthography. There are 1,712 approved male names and 1,853 government-approved female names.
