Missing McCreary County man found safe

A golden alert has been canceled for a man who disappeared from a McCreary County nursing home on Friday afternoon.

Officials tell WKYT that Callahan was found safely Saturday morning. He has been hopitalized for precautionary reasons.

Investigators say 54-year-old Charles Callahan was last seen leaving Cumberland Manor in McCreary County around 3:30 pm Friday.

He was last seen wearing a gray shirt and blue jeans.

We're told Callahan has schizophrenia and requires daily medication.
