Good Giving Guide Challenge off to good start
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - The Good Giving Guide Challenge is in full swing as we get closer to the holiday season. 68 local non-profit organizations are hosting an online donation campaign to make it easier for the community to send money.
The website features a leaderboard, weekly challenges, prizes, and information about the programs you can donate to. This is the 3rd week of the Good Giving Guide Challenge and nearly 145-thousand dollars have been raised.
"We really want to make it easy for you to give here to the non profits that are improving our quality of life. So I really encourage you to get on good giving guide dot net. Take a look at the non profits and their profile and give," says Allison Lankford, Vice President of Blue Grass Community Foundation.
The goal this year is 400-thousand dollars and the Good Giving Campaign ends December 31st. You can donate by visiting www.goodgivingguide.net.
