Google names Lexington as digital capital of Kentucky

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) -- Google has named Lexington the digital capital of Kentucky.

Lexington is the first Kentucky city to receive the Google "e-city award."

Google gives the awards to the strongest online business community in each state.

Google scored cities across the country based on company size, web and social media presence, and e-commerce capabilities.
