Our winter storm is shattering records. 17.1" of snow fell in Lexington and that's the most ever recorded during a two day snowstorm. We've had 32.1" of snow in the last 17 days.
So much for the cold weather to start off the work week. This will only be a tease as a front swings through later tonight. We will have a mix of sun and clouds today with highs feeling fantastic in the 50s. We are under a Wind Advisory till the evening hours with winds from 15-25 mph and gusts as high as 40 mph. Rain begins later tonight and into the overnight hours with around half an inch of rain expected.
As the front rolls through during the overnight hours cold air filters in behind, which could interact with some of the moisture leftover giving us a chance at snow showers. This will be another little to no accumulation system during the morning hours on Tuesday.
After Tuesday we will be left with a roller coaster ride of temperatures and weather the next few days.
