Very slow moving showers and thunderstorms will move into our area overnight and Sunday. The potential for flooding will be heightened in southern and eastern Kentucky.
The old saying "it doesn't get much better than this" is certainly appropriate for the forecast over the holiday weekend. This 4th of July will likely be one of the nicest we've ever had around here. Cool temps, low humidity levels and sunny skies will make for the perfect weather trio.
Readings tonight will drop into the 50-55 degree range for most of the region. Skies will be mainly clear with some valley fog. Highs on the 4th will range from the mid to upper 70s under mostly sunny skies.
The weather looks great for fireworks tomorrow night. Temps will be in the 60s with clear skies.
Low to mid 80s return this weekend with the sunshine rolling on. Get out and enjoy it because storms return early next week.
