Scattered showers and storms continue to push across the region. Local high water issues remain possible through the evening.
Lawrenceburg, KY. (WKYT)- After losing her grandson to SIDS eight years ago, Pat Roberts made it her mission to give back to new moms and their babies.
Little Man's Legacy Totes are filled to the brim with baby supplies- enough to give underprivileged moms in Central Kentucky a first shot at success in child-rearing.
"It has been a struggle because of the bad winter that we had,” said Pat Roberts, organizer. “I lost a lot of income and I clean houses so if I can't get there I feel like I'm letting these girls down by not being able to come up with enough stuff to do this."
You can call (859) 312-0850 if you're interested in helping, whether it is baby supplies or a monetary donation.
The program's been around for eight years and every year Pat says she sees the need grow.
The new moms will be presented with their totes at the Woodford County Health Department on August 28th, which would have been Pat's grandson's birthday.
