Guantanamo secret program

WASHINGTON (AP) - Some current and former U.S. officials say a secret program at Guantanamo Bay attempted to turn prisoners into double agents, who would then help the U.S. kill terrorists overseas.

The officials tell The Associated Press that the program operated in the first years after the September Eleventh terror attacks, and prisoners were promised freedom, safety for their families and millions of dollars.
