Guilty verdict in Lexington hit and run

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A jury has convicted a man charged with crashing into a mounted Lexington police officer.

The Herald-Leader reports that the jury found William Grimes guilty of fourth degree assault and leaving the scene of an accident.

The crash happened in downtown Lexington back in September.

Officer Raymond Alexander suffered neck and back injuries. His horse, Paco, was also hurt.
