FRANKFORT, Ky. (WKYT) - Frankfort Police are looking for two people who robbed a man outside his apartment building.

The victim was unharmed, but police say the two men who robbed him threatened to shoot him and that's enough to give them serious concern.

Police say the victim, 20-year-old Isaiah Robinson feared for his life.

"The conversation from the victim's statement between the two indicated that they were considering shooting him," said Major Fred Deaton with the Frankfort Police Department.

The robbery happened around 1:00 Wednesday morning at an apartment on Centennial Drive in Frankfort. They say it appears two men waited on the victim, then saw their moment of opportunity.

"They at one point made him lie on the ground, went through his pockets. I believe they took some personal items...ID credit cards," said Major Deaton.

Robinson was able to get away, but police are concerned that the two men are still out there. They say they're investigating a similar incident in the area over the past few days. They say people should exercise caution.

"Be more attentive and more aware. Try to park as closely to your building as possible in a well-lit area. Be alert for suspicious activity or anything out of the ordinary in your neighborhood," said Major Deaton.

The victim said one robber was a black man about 5'10" wearing a black sweatshirt and dark basketball shorts with a red bandanna over his face. He said the other was a black or Hispanic man about six feet tall also wearing a black sweatshirt and baggy blue jeans.
