LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKTY) -- We're tracking the search for a man police say stole a gun from a Lexington pawn shop.

It happened around 6 p.m. Thursday at the Mister Money on Winchester Road.

Police say a clerk was showing the suspect a gun, when he grabbed it and ran off.

Minutes later, police spotted the suspect at Fifth and Chestnut, but they say he ran from them.

Police soon found the gun and the suspect's jacket on Ohio Street.

Police say the gun was not loaded.

They say they know who they're looking for, but they have not released his name.
