Hackers steal information from dozens of diners

Someone stole dozens of credit card numbers from a restaurant.
Winchester Police say close to 100 people who've dined at the Puerta Grande on Bypass Road were hit.

Hackers tried to get upwards of $69,000 from one victim's accounts, but he tells 27 Newsfirst he got to the bank before they got the money.

Detectives say if you think you're a victim, contact your bank. Next, you should contact police.

Detectives also want to stress that neither the owner, nor employees of the restaurant were involved in this scam. They say the owner has fully cooperated in the investigation. The owner has also installed new encryption machines at this and two other restaurants.

As Winchester Police continue to investigate, they have also called the Secret Service to join in the investigation. Detectives say the suspects in this case are racking up charges in multiple states and even out of the country.
