LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - In an interview appearing Monday on CoachCal.com, UK point guard Ryan Harrow said it felt good to return to practice Sunday but he could shed little light on what sidelined him for the last two weeks.
Harrow said, "We still don't know, it definitely wasn't mono, it was flu-like symptoms." Harrow went on to say, "I was just really tired, that's past, I'm just happy to get back out there and play." He also returned home the weekend of November 17th to deal with a family issue. Harrow said everything is better and he's happy to be back with the team.
Harrow last saw action in the season opener, November 9th against Maryland, his playing time was limited. His last extensive playing time came in the Cat's last exhibition game against Transylvania, November 5hth.
Harrow has lost seven pounds, as for gaining that back he said Thanksgiving helped. He said his energy is good and he believes he's still in shape. Being a quuick learner, he believes he'll be able to quickly pick up anything hes missed.
Coach John Calipari has not set any timetable for his return.
