Harrow told Cal he's "all-in"

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - After being pulled from the lineup at Tennessee and suffering through another miserable game, point guard Ryan Harrow told John Calipari he wanted to start and he's "all-in."

Harrow asked teammates if he should go to his coach and he decided to go forward. "I was a little nervous and I said what I needed to say and he had all the answers after that. But we had an understanding, basically after that."

Calipari talked about the meeting with Harrow after UK held on to beat Vanderbilt 74-70. "Ryan came to me and said 'I want to start'. I said o.k., you've got a responsibility though if you're going to start." Calipari said the move by Harrow made it easy on him. "Anytime guys come at me with stuff like that it's easy for me, because it takes it off my plate and now it's on their plate. 'You want to start, o.k. great, go start, and I thought he was terrific today."

Harrow had one of his best games of the season against Vandy, with 12 points, four assists, five rebounds and no turnovers. He believes he cleared the air with Calipari. "Just letting him know that I'm all-in and I'm going to listen to him and that I'm here for my team and I'm going to do what's best for my team."
