Head on crash shuts down busy Lexington road

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) -- A busy Lexington roadway is back open Sunday after an earlier crash shut it down.

The crash happened 4:00 p.m. on Winchester Road and Tennesee Avenue.

Police say the driver of a blue Chevy Malibu crossed the yellow line and hit a blue mini van head on.

Both drivers are being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Police said there would be no criminal charges filed.
