Scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue to rumble across central and eastern Kentucky tonight. These storms are bringing additional heavy rainfall that can cause some local high water issues.
A few of the storms could be on the strong side during this time.
A cold front will work across the state on Tuesday and will bring much cooler and drier air by the middle of the week. Highs by Wednesday and Thursday will be in the mid and upper 70s with lows in the 50s.
That looks great for the school systems starting out the year this week.
Nice weather should continue into the start of the weekend. Warmer and more humid air moves in later this weekend into most of next week.
