The holiday weekend is wrapping up on a much warmer note. Many areas will climb into the mid and upper 80s. Throw in a little extra humidity and you have a slightly less comfortable day. The humidity levels won't be off the charts... yet.
A frontal boundary will be slipping into Kentucky on Monday. This is when we get in on more widespread showers and thunderstorms. A front can be a nice thing this time of year, but not with this one. It never makes it all the way through Kentucky. It stalls out just to our north and keeps the pattern very unsettled.
That same front lingers around our area through at least midweek. Once we get beyond Wednesday our rain chances will become more widely scattered. Storms becoming scattered will leave plenty of room for more heat toward the end of the week.
Enjoy the final day of your weekend!
